Jackson leads NC A&T past Maryland-Eastern Shore 68-61
GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) — Andre Jackson came off the bench to score 14 points to lead North Carolina A&T to a 68-61 win over Maryland-Eastern Shore on Monday night.
Ibrahim Sylla had 14 points and nine rebounds for N.C. A&T (13-11, 8-2 Mid-Eastern Conference), which earned its sixth straight home victory. Aaren Edmead added 13 points. Kameron Langley had nine assists for the hosts.
Ryan Andino had 11 points for the Hawks (4-23, 2-10).
Davis carries NC Central over Md.-Eastern Shore 78-53
DURHAM, N.C. (AP) — Raasean Davis had 21 points and 11 rebounds as North Carolina Central easily beat Maryland-Eastern Shore 78-53 on Saturday.
Zacarry Douglas had 15 points for NC Central (11-13, 6-4 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference). Larry McKnight Jr. added 13 points. Jibri Blount had 12 points for the hosts.
Ryan Andino had 13 points for the Hawks (4-22, 2-9). Gabriel Gyamfi added 10 points. Bryan Urrutia had 10 points and seven assists.
Savannah State holds off Maryland-Eastern Shore 68-63
PRINCESS ANNE, Md. (AP) — Zach Sellers scored 19 points, Zaquavian Smith added 15 and Savannah State beat Maryland-Eastern Shore 68-63 on Monday night.
Savannah State was ahead 62-52, its largest advantage of the game, with just under five minutes left, but UMES got within 64-61 two minutes later.
SSU made its first nine free throws before missing three straight late to let UMES back in it. But Sellers made two straight to seal it with 11.4 remaining, making it 67-63.
Thomas leads Norfolk St. past Maryland-Eastern Shore 88-60
NORFOLK, Va. (AP) — Nic Thomas scored a career-high 26 points on seven 3-pointers as Norfolk State rolled to an 88-60 win over Maryland-Eastern Shore on Saturday night.
Mastadi Pitt had 18 points for the Spartans (12-10, 7-0 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference), who are on a seven-game win streak to lead in the MEAC standings. Derrik Jamerson Jr. added 16 points and Steven Whitley had eight points with eight assists.
Norfolk State was 18 of 27 from beyond 3-point range (67 percent), a season high.
Maryland-Eastern Shore tops Florida A&M 60-58 in overtime
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — Colen Gaynor sank two free throws and Canaan Bartley another in the final 1:20 and that was just enough for Maryland-Eastern Shore to win 60-58 in overtime on Saturday and snap a four-game slide.
Florida A&M had a chance with one second left and M.J. Randolph at the line shooting three. But Randolph made just one.

Winthrop pours in 14 3-pointers in 88-74 win over UMES
ROCK HILL, S.C. (AP) — Kyle Zunic scored 10 of his career-high 21 points in the first half when the Eagles built a 19-point lead and Winthrop defeated Maryland-Eastern Shore 88-74 in a Thursday morning game.
Zunic had four 3-pointers as Winthrop (6-4), second nationally in 3-point field goals per game at 13.4, made 14 of 38 from distance. The Australian sophomore also grabbed 10 rebounds.
Duquesne perfect at home, tops Maryland-Eastern Shore 72-57
PITTSBURGH (AP) — Lamar Norman Jr. scored 16 points and finished one rebound shy of a double-double as Duquesne kept its perfect record on its home floor intact with a 72-57 victory over Maryland-Eastern Shore for its sixth win at home Thursday night.
The Dukes now have won three in a row. Maryland-Eastern Shor (1-9) has lost all seven road games this season.
St. John’s beats Maryland-Eastern Shore 85-64
NEW YORK (AP) — LJ Figueroa had 25 points and 13 rebounds, Mustapha Heron added 20 points and nine boards and St. John's ran away early from Maryland-Eastern Shore to win its sixth straight, 85-64 on Tuesday night.
Mikey Dixon scored 14 points and he and Figueroa each hit four of the Red Storm's 12 3-pointers. Shamorie Ponds made six assists for St. John's, which had a 34-20 advantage in the paint.
St. John's never trailed and is 6-0 for the first time since the 2009-10 season.
Andino leads Md.-Eastern Shore past Cent. Pennsylvania 77-52
PRINCESS ANNE, Md. (AP) — Ryan Andino scored 26 points on seven 3-pointers and Maryland-Eastern Shore won its first game, beating Central Pennsylvania College of the USCAA Division II 77-52 on Saturday.
AJ Cheeseman added 20 points with four rebounds and three assists and Ahmad Frost had 10 points and three boards for the Hawks (1-5).
North Texas dominates 2nd half to roll to sixth straight win
DENTON, Texas (AP) — Zachary Simmons, Umoja Gibson and Jorden Duffy combined for 40 points as North Texas dominated the second half to remain undefeated, thumping Maryland-Eastern Shore 68-34 on Saturday.
Simmons finished with 17 points, seven rebounds and one blocked shot. Gibson added 12 points and Duffy had 11 with five rebounds. Jahmiah Simmons chipped in eight points with eight boards for North Texas (6-0).
Walton scores 20, Longwood starts 3-0 for 1st time in DI
PRINCESS ANNE, Md. (AP) — Isaiah Walton scored 20 points, knocked down four 3-pointers and grabbed seven rebounds as Longwood held off Maryland-Eastern Shore down the stretch, 66-63 Tuesday night.
First-year coach Griff Aldrich has the Lancers off to a 3-0 start for the first time since the school stepped up to Division I in the 2004-05 season. Walton, the Big South Conference's leading scorer, has scored 20 or better in all three games.
Georgetown beats Maryland Eastern Shore 68-53
WASHINGTON (AP) — Jessie Govan scored 13 points, freshman Josh LeBlanc had 11 points and 11 rebounds and Georgetown beat Maryland Eastern Shore 68-53 on Tuesday night.
Patrick Ewing begins his second year as the Georgetown coach, looking to build off a 15-15 season a year ago.
Jamorko Pickett made three 3-pointers and scored 11 points for Georgetown, which has won all nine games in the series. James Akinjo had seven assists in 26 minutes and Trey Mourning made the first start of his career.
