Duda signed a $3.5 million, one-year deal to take over for departed first baseman Eric Hosmer this season. But despite showing flashes of his prodigious power, Duda's hit just .242 with 13 homers and 48 RBIs while appeared in 87 games, making his trade somewhat imminent.

The Chicago White Sox, though, keep battling.
Omar Narvaez homered and drove in the go-ahead run with a single, Chicago relievers tossed seven scoreless innings and the White Sox rallied from a six-run deficit for a 7-6 victory over the Kansas City Royals on Sunday.

Gordon homers as Royals beat White Sox 10-5
CHICAGO (AP) — Alex Gordon has never been much of a power hitter, so prolonged homer droughts don't bother him too much.
"I'm old. I don't have power anymore," the 34-year-old Gordon cracked. "I don't worry about it. I'm at that stage of my career where I just want to win games, and that's all I care about."
So Wednesday night was a good one.
Gordon hit a two-run homer and a two-run double, leading the Kansas City Royals to a 10-5 victory over the sloppy Chicago White Sox.
O’Hearn homers as Royals beat White Sox 4-2
CHICAGO (AP) — Ryan O'Hearn got the ball from his first major league hit. Brett Phillips got his bats back.
For one night at least, everything was all right with the Kansas City Royals.
O'Hearn hit a two-run homer in his big league debut, helping Danny Duffy and the Royals beat the Chicago White Sox 4-2 on Tuesday.
"Today was the most fun I had at a baseball field, once I kind of settled down a little bit, ever," O'Hearn said. "I'm ready to get back tomorrow."
Royals OF Brian Goodwin goes on DL with groin strain
CHICAGO (AP) — The Kansas City Royals have placed outfielder Brian Goodwin on the 10-day disabled list with a left groin strain.
Goodwin got hurt running the bases in the seventh inning of Saturday night's 5-4 loss to the New York Yankees in the second game of a doubleheader. Goodwin is 8 for 17 with a homer and four RBIs in five games with Kansas City after he was acquired in a trade with Washington.
