EDINBURG — The economic arm of the city approved a contract for a legislative liaison despite potential issues with his company, his professional role and his track record.

The Edinburg Economic Development Corporation board met last week to consider renewing a contract with Signature Advocacy Inc., a company owned and operated solely by Oberlyn “Obie” Salinas.
