SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (AP) — Some talented, young baseball players have competed at the Little League World Series over the last 71 years. Fifty-four have gone on to realize another dream — making the majors.
Three of those Little League veterans will be on hand when the Mets play the Phillies in Williamsport on Sunday night: Scott Kingery, Todd Frazier and Michael Conforto.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — The Philadelphia Phillies have placed shortstop J.P. Crawford on the 10-day disabled list with a right forearm strain.
Infielder Jesmuel Valentin was recalled from Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Sunday to replace him on the 25-man roster.
The 23-year-old Crawford says he lost feeling near his elbow after making a relay throw to third base in the fifth inning of Saturday's 4-1 loss to Atlanta. He was lifted for a pinch hitter in the bottom of the inning.

CLEARWATER, Fla. (AP) — The Philadelphia Phillies and prized prospect Scott Kingery have reached a six-year contract, a major endorsement for a player who has yet to reach the big leagues.
The Phillies announced the deal Sunday that goes through the 2023 season. There also are three team options running through 2026. Multiple media reports said Kingery was guaranteed more than $23 million.

Kingery is considered the top second-base prospect in baseball and already has been compared to Hall of Famer Craig Biggio and four-time All-Star Dustin Pedroia. But Cesar Hernandez is Philadelphia's starting second baseman, causing Kingery to play other positions in spring training.
