DIJON, France (AP) — Mario Balotelli's second goal in three games helped Marseille to a 2-1 win at Dijon in the French league on Friday.
The Italy striker, who joined last month from Nice, turned the ball in from close range in the 57th minute after winger Florian Thauvin headed on a corner from the right.
Marseille's second straight victory moved the side up to fifth ahead of this weekend's matches, and also took some pressure off coach Rudi Garcia following a poor run of results.
Balotelli scores on debut but Marseille loses 2-1 to Lille

PARIS (AP) — France coach Didier Deschamps has postponed the announcement of his World Cup squad until after the Europa League final to help the French players involved in the game.
The decision was made "in order not to disturb the preparations of the French players from Marseille and Atletico Madrid," The French Football Federation said on Friday.
Deschamps will announce his World Cup selection on May 17, a day after the Europa League final in Lyon.

PARIS (AP) — After Neymar was sent off, Edinson Cavani stepped up for league leader Paris Saint-Germain with an injury-time free kick to salvage a 2-2 draw Sunday at rival Marseille.
Cavani won the foul after being knocked over by forward Bouna Sarr, and curled the ball in off the underside of the crossbar with goalkeeper Steve Mandanda slightly slow to cover.
"It's an important goal," Cavani said of his ninth goal of the season. "It was difficult to play here in a tough atmosphere."
