The sixth-seeded Cornet, who won the event in 2016 and hasn't dropped a set this year, overcame a fall and skinned knee to reach the semifinals.

The zoo is more than halfway through a five-year, $500,000 agreement to fund annual population-monitoring surveys of the Tasmanian devil through the Save the Tasmanian Devil Program. It has committed an additional $50,000 per year for three years to fund an effort for targeted surveys of wild devil populations for genetic mapping.
Swimmer in Australia dies after being stung by stingray
SYDNEY (AP) — A swimmer in Australia has died of a heart attack after he was stung by a stingray.
Police say the 42-year-old man went into cardiac arrest on Saturday at Lauderdale Beach, east of Hobart in Tasmania, after he suffered a puncture wound to his lower abdomen.
He was swimming alone and close to shore when the attack happened. Friends pulled him from the water but failed in attempts to resuscitate him.

5-year-old male Tasmanian devil dies at an Albuquerque zoo
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — An Albuquerque zoo says a 5-year-old male Tasmanian devil on loan from Australia has died.
Sylar was one of four Tasmanian devils loaned to the ABQ BioPark in 2013 from Australia's Healesville Sanctuary as part of an ambassador program.
Zoo officials say Sylar's keepers noticed last Friday that he was lethargic and coughing and a medical treatment plan was started.
Early indications from a necropsy are that Sylar died Saturday of natural causes.
