PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Charlie Brown Jr. scored 20 points and Saint Joseph's held on late to beat Massachusetts 64-62 on Saturday afternoon.
Lorenzo Edwards added 14 points for the Hawks (10-12, 3-6 Atlantic 10 Conference). Jared Bynum had 10 points and Taylor Funk led the team with 12 rebounds and finished with eight points.
Toppin’s career night helps Dayton top St. Joseph’s 75-64

Ryan Mikesell tied his career best with 21 points and Josh Cunningham grabbed 11 rebounds for the Flyers (14-7, 6-2 Atlantic 10 Conference), who outscored the Hawks 46-20 in the paint and outrebounded them 41-31.

ST. LOUIS (AP) — Dion Wiley and Javon Bess scored 20 points apiece and Hasahn French added a double-double to propel Saint Louis to a 68-57 victory over Saint Joseph's on Friday.
Wiley knocked down 6 of his 11 shots from 3-point range, while Bess buried 5 of 10 for the Billikens (14-4, 5-0 Atlantic 10 Conference), who ran their win streak to six and remained the lone unbeaten team in conference play. French finished with 10 points and 11 rebounds for his fifth double-double of the season.
Saint Joseph’s rallies to beat UIC behind Kimble’s 31 points
PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Lamarr Kimble tied his career high with 31 points and Saint Joseph's rallied from 13 points down to beat Illinois-Chicago 89-75 on Wednesday night.
Charlie Brown Jr. scored 19 points and Jared Bynum had 10 for the Hawks (4-3), who were outshot 50 percent to 38 percent but made 36 of 41 free throws. Pierfrancesco Oliva grabbed 12 rebounds and Taylor Funk scored nine points with eight boards.
Brown’s return lifts St. Joseph’s past Old Dominion 79-64
PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Charlie Brown scored 20 points and Pierfrancesco Oliva scored 17 with 14 rebounds and Saint Joseph's beat Old Dominion 79-64 on Friday night.
Brown was 4-of-6 shooting from 3-point range in his return to the lineup. The sophomore redshirted last season after undergoing surgery to his left wrist that he fractured before the season started.
WASHINGTON (AP) — Nick Robinson led a balanced attack with 14 points, Taylor Funk had a double-double and fourth-seeded Saint Joseph's pulled away for a 68-49 win over fifth-seeded George Mason on Friday in the quarterfinals of the Atlantic-10 Conference Tournament.
Funk had 12 points and 10 rebounds, James Demery had 12 points off the bench and Shavar Newkirk added 13 points for the Hawks (16-15), who face top-seeded and 25th ranked Rhode Island in the semifinals.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Taylor Funk scored 22 points and Saint Joseph's closed fast to post an 85-73 win over Massachusetts in an Atlantic 10 showdown Saturday afternoon.
C.J. Anderson got the Minutemen even at 61-61 on a 3-pointer with 10:54 remaining, but Funk answered with a 3 and a layup to park a 24-12 finish by the Hawks.
Saint Joe's bounced back from a 91-62 loss to Davidson Tuesday night and earned a split in the season series with UMass, which won at Amherst, 72-69.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Taylor Funk scored six of his 19 points in overtime and Saint Joseph's beat VCU 87-81 on Wednesday night to end a two-game skid.
Funk hit three straight free throws and the Hawks led 84-78 on his 3-pointer with 2:09 left in OT. The Rams missed six 3s and a jumper over the next three minutes while James Demery and Pierfrancesco Oliva combined for four more Saint Joseph's points.

Brown hits FTs down stretch to seal Temple’s 81-78 win
PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Josh Brown made five free throws down the stretch as Temple weathered a late rally to beat Saint Joseph's 81-78 on Saturday afternoon.
Temple (6-2) sprinted to a 40-29 halftime advantage and led 63-51 midway of the second period and still had a comfortable 74-58 lead with 5:01 remaining. Shavar Newkirk and Taylor Funk drilled back to back 3-pointers to start 14-2 run as the Hawks pulled to 76-72 with 1:32 remaining. Brown then sealed the win with five free throws.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — James Demery scored 20 points and grabbed eight rebounds as Saint Joseph's beat Bucknell 83-70 on Wednesday night.
Demery was 8 of 18 from the field for the Hawks (4-3). Shavar Newkirk added 19 points, 10 rebounds and six assists and Chris Clover had 17 points while Pierfrancesco Oliva grabbed 10 rebounds. The team averaged 41 percent shooting from the field compared to 34 percent for Bucknell.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Freshman Taylor Funk hit five 3-pointers and finished with a career-high 23 points to lead Saint Joseph's to a 71-58 win over Princeton on Saturday night.
Funk made 7 of 8 from the field and hit 4 of 4 from the free throw line. James Demery had 13 points, Shavar Newkirk scored 11 and Anthony Longpre' added 10 points for Saint Joe's (2-1).
