Falcons’ Julio Jones sent home with flu-like symptoms
FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. (AP) — Falcons receiver Julio Jones has been sent home with flu-like symptoms but is expected to play Sunday against Arizona.
Coach Dan Quinn says the wide receiver likely will return to practice on Friday. Jones, a two-time All-Pro, leads the NFL in yards receiving and is the only player in league history with five straight 1,400-yard seasons.

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. (AP) — The Atlanta Falcons have agreed to terms on a deal with free-agent defensive tackle Terrell McClain, who started two games for the Washington Redskins in 2017.
The 29-year-old McClain was released by the Redskins on April 30.
McClain, a third-round draft pick by Carolina in 2011, has started in 29 of 74 games with five teams. His longest stint was with the Dallas Cowboys from 2014-16. He had 20 tackles and two sacks with the Redskins last season.
Muhammad Wilkerson, Allen Robinson among free agents to watch for Redskins
Even though the Washington Redskins will have $31 million in salary cap space, they won't necessarily swing for the fences when the negotiating window for free agency opens Monday.
History has shown the Redskins are willing to tackle the market in different ways. In January, Redskins coach Jay Gruden revealed Washington went after defensive lineman Calais Campbell last season, but settled for linemen Stacy McGee and Terrell McClain.
Skins LT Trent Williams, Giants WR Sterling Shepard inactive
LANDOVER, Md. (AP) — Pro Bowl left tackle Trent Williams is inactive for the Washington Redskins against the New York Giants because of an injured right knee.
The Thanksgiving night game is the third time in the past five weeks that Williams has been sidelined by the knee. His absence means Washington is missing three-fifths of its starting offensive line, because left guard Shawn Lauvao and center Spencer Long went on injured reserve this week.
Reed, McClain, Roullier, Nicholson out for Skins vs. Giants
ASHBURN, Va. (AP) — Tight end Jordan Reed, defensive lineman Terrell McClain, center Chase Roullier and safety Montae Nicholson will miss the Washington Redskins' game against the New York Giants.
There might be other Redskins sidelined, too.
Coach Jay Gruden said Wednesday that seven or eight players will be game-time decisions Thursday night, indicating that left tackle Trent Williams is among that group.
This will be Reed's fourth consecutive game out with a hamstring injury.
Newcomers turn Redskins defense into a force early in season
ASHBURN, Va. (AP) — When the Washington Redskins turned over almost half their starting defense from last season, coach Jay Gruden didn't know how it would go.
"You're never quite sure until they get here," Gruden said.
The Redskins' defensive newcomers are here, and so far they're spectacular.
Cowboys release Thornton, fill spot with Price from Packers
FRISCO, Texas (AP) — The Dallas Cowboys have released defensive tackle Cedric Thornton, their most expensive free agent a year ago, and claimed Brian Price off waivers from Green Bay to replace him.
The Cowboys acquired linebacker Jayrone Elliott from the Packers on Sunday for a late-round pick in the 2018 draft. Dallas made room for Elliott by waiving linebacker Mark Nzeocha, a seventh-round selection in 2015.

WASHINGTON REDSKINS (8-7-1)
New faces: WR Terrelle Pryor, DL Stacy McGee, DL Terrell McClain, LB Zach Brown, S D.J. Swearinger.
Key losses: Offensive coordinator Sean McVay, WR DeSean Jackson, WR Pierre Garcon, DE Chris Baker, LB Trent Murphy (injured).
This position is in a better spot than it’s been in several years, but whether the current collection of talent is good enough remains to be seen.
First-round pick Jonathan Allen should be an instant-impact player along the line — he’s got the size and strength to jump into an NFL role immediately. Likewise, Ziggy Hood showed he’s still got something left in the tank last year, and enters camp with a spot in the rotation secure, if not a starting spot.
New Redskins defensive coordinator Greg Manusky tells his players he doesn't have a crystal ball to always know the right play to call, yet before stepping on the field they have an idea what to expect.
"A lot of pressure," linebacker Ryan Kerrigan said. "You look at the install sheets for when we're installing our defense, you see a lot of lines going forward."
Playoff-bound Cowboys sitting 4 starters in finale vs Eagles
FRISCO, Texas (AP) — The Dallas Cowboys will rest at least four starters and a pair of key backups in the regular-season finale against Philadelphia with home-field advantage in the NFC playoffs already clinched.
