DALLAS (AP) — Khris Middleton thought Nikola Mirotic tilted a playoff series in Chicago's favor nearly four years ago when the Bulls beat his Milwaukee Bucks in the first round.

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) — Ed Stefanski can maintain a sense of humor about the challenges facing the Detroit Pistons.
"I wouldn't be here if things were rosy, is the way I look at it," said Stefanski, a senior executive with the Pistons. "And I tell that in our meetings when people want to say, oh, you know, this and that. I said, 'You guys wouldn't be here if things were good.'"
Bucks acquire Mirotic from Pelicans
MILWAUKEE (AP) — The Milwaukee Bucks have acquired forward Nikola Mirotic from the New Orleans Pelicans in a three-team deal.
The Bucks made the announcement in a news release on Thursday. Milwaukee also will send forward Thon Maker to the Detroit Pistons and center Jason Smith and four future second-round draft picks to the Pelicans. Detroit will send forward Stanley Johnson to New Orleans to complete the deal.

MILWAUKEE (AP) — After not playing at all in the Milwaukee Bucks' previous game, Thon Maker got a chance to shine in a hard-fought win over the Utah Jazz on Monday night.
Maker had a season-high 15 points off the bench for the Bucks, who clamped down on defense in the second half to secure a 114-102 victory.
Antetokounmpo scores 30, Bucks beat Celtics 120-107
BOSTON (AP) — The Milwaukee Bucks turned their slow start into a long, frustrating night for the Boston Celtics.
Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 30 points and got the Bucks rolling on an early 16-0 run that put Milwaukee in command for good in a 120-107 win over the short-handed Celtics on Friday night.
"We just tried to play a bit harder, a bit sharper," said Antetokounmpo, who also had eight rebounds and five assists.
Pelicans’ Davis leaves game with apparent ankle injury
MILWAUKEE (AP) — Anthony Davis of the New Orleans Pelicans left Wednesday night's game against the Milwaukee Bucks after appearing to injure his left ankle.
Davis limped off the court and went directly to the locker room in the waning seconds of the first quarter after his legs got tangled with teammate Andrew Harrison underneath the basket as Harrison drew a charge on Milwaukee's Thon Maker.
Harrison fell backward into Davis, who fell to the floor and immediately clutched his lower left leg.
BRISBANE, Australia (AP) — Basketball Australia says world governing body FIBA will enter "new territory" when it investigates a bench-clearing brawl during Australia's World Cup qualifying match against the Philippines Monday.
It would not rule out criminal charges being laid.
Thirteen players, including four Australians, were ejected for their part in the brawl which took place in the third quarter of the match at the Philippine Arena in Ciudad de Victoria. The match was won 79-48 by Australia.

Antetokounmpo had 26 points and 12 rebounds, and Milwaukee snapped Toronto's seven-game win streak with a 122-119 overtime victory Friday night.
"We haven't beaten them in a while so the win feels a lot better, to be honest with you," Antetokounmpo said. "They're a great team, too."

Antetokounmpo had 31 points and 10 rebounds before getting a well-earned break in the fourth quarter, and the Bucks pulled away for a 122-101 win over the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday night.

Beasley sprained his left knee in a frightening scene during the first quarter against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday night. As he was trying to defend LeBron James, Beasley's left leg buckled grotesquely and he crumpled to the floor under the basket.
