Air Force tops UNLV 41-35 for 1st conference win

But that all changed Friday night when Isaiah Sanders accounted for four touchdowns to lead Air Force to a 41-35 win over UNLV.
The Rebels held a 21-20 lead at halftime, but Air Force (3-4, 1-3 Mountain West) wasted no time in jumping on a UNLV defense that has allowed 150 points and 1,672 yards in its last three games.

Sanders’ record day leads Air Force past Utah State 38-35
AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. (AP) — Isaiah Sanders was battered and bruised in his first career start on Saturday night.
"Worth it," he said.
Third on the depth chart a week ago, Sanders ran for 196 yards and three touchdowns on Saturday night — including a go-ahead 10-yard score with 1:38 remaining — and Air Force beat Utah State 38-35.
Sanders had a school-record 44 carries and his final run of the night put the Falcons ahead on the fourth lead change of the final quarter.

McQuarley finished with 179 yards on 11 carries and tied a school touchdown record.
Arion Worthman threw for three touchdowns and had 90 rushing yards and another score for the Falcons (1-3, 0-2 Mountain West), but the defense was unable to put a dent in the New Mexico attack.

Air Force-UNM is fair game in Texas for Mountain West foes
DALLAS (AP) — Air Force coach Troy Calhoun remembers going to the Cotton Bowl for a Texas-Oklahoma game when he was stationed not far from the Sooners' campus about 25 years ago.
Suffice it to say New Mexico's Bob Davie has plenty more experience on the sidelines of the historic stadium near downtown Dallas, coaching in the bowl game as an assistant seven times in a span of 12 seasons in the 1980s and '90s.
But hey, at least Calhoun can say he's been to the Texas state fair on a game day.
