Brazil dam collapse death toll rises to 121
BRUMADINHO, Brazil (AP) — The death toll from the collapse of a dam holding back mining waste in southeastern Brazil has risen to 121, rescue officials said Saturday. Another 226 people are missing.
Lt. Pedro Aihara of the Minas Gerais state Fire Department said that some bodies may never be found under the tons of mud that swept through a rural area of Brumadinho.

BRUMADINHO, Brazil (AP) — A Brazilian environmental group began testing river water Thursday around where a dam holding back mine waste collapsed to measure the level of toxicity and assess risks to human and other forms of life.
The dam failure unleashed a surge of mud that buried buildings adjoining the dam and several parts of the nearby city of Brumadinho. Authorities said Thursday a total of 110 bodies had been recovered and 238 are listed as missing.

Dam with mine waste collapses in Brazil; 7 dead, 200 missing
SAO PAULO (AP) — A dam that held back mining waste collapsed Friday in Brazil, inundating a nearby community in reddish-brown sludge, killing at least seven people and leaving scores of others missing.
Parts of the city of Brumadinho were evacuated, and firefighters rescued people by helicopter and ground vehicles. Local television channel TV Record showed a helicopter hovering inches off the ground as it pulled people covered in mud out of the waste.
