Minnesota man pleads guilty to kidnapping, restraining woman
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — A Minnesota man has pleaded guilty to kidnapping a woman he met in downtown Minneapolis and offered to drive home.
Prosecutors say 37-year-old Dontay Reese instead drove the woman to Wisconsin in August 2017 and told her he planned to make money by trafficking her. The victim attempted to escape multiple times and each time was captured and restrained.
Evers picks new Wisconsin State Patrol superintendent
MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Gov. Tony Evers has picked the Wisconsin State Patrol's next leader.
Evers named patrol Maj. Anthony Burrell as superintendent on Friday. He will take over on Sunday.
Burrell has served as a state trooper since 1990. He was promoted to sergeant in 2006, lieutenant in 2012 and captain of the patrol's 11-county Northeast Region in 2015.

Authorities subsequently arrested the man, of West Salem, for fifth offense operating under the influence.

Madison man arrested after swerving across Interstate 39-90-94, police say
A Madison man was arrested Monday afternoon and charged with his fifth operating while intoxicated offense, and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, according to the Wisconsin State Patrol.
Justin Kaatz, 32, was arrested at about 4 p.m. after he swerved across three lanes of traffic at a very low speed and struck a guard rail on Interstate 39-90-94 in the town of Burke, according to police. Other vehicles were able to avoid being hit.
Janesville man arrested at Dekorra rest stop for 9th drunken driving charge after Dane County crash
A Janesville man is being held at Columbia County Jail on his ninth drunken driving charge after a reported vehicle collision in Dane County.
Michael Multon, 44, was ordered held on a $2,500 cash bond for the drunken driving charge and driving with a revoked driver’s license following his arrest at a town of Dekorra rest stop.
District Attorney Jane Kohlwey requested Multon be held in jail for the charges and pointed out if convicted, he faces a minimum of three years in prison.

Two teens arrested on marijuana and weapons charges
Two 19-year-olds were arrested Tuesday when a traffic stop resulted in a vehicle search and a state trooper reportedly finding marijuana and a loaded pistol.
A Wisconsin State Patrol officer stopped a vehicle at about 5:30 p.m. at the Interstate 39 exit at Cascade Mountain Road for driving with loud exhaust, a cracked windshield, dangling fender and broken taillight. Among the five people in the vehicle none, had a valid driver’s license, according to the criminal complaint.

A Janesville man was arrested for his tentative fifth OWI charge early Monday morning.
The Wisconsin State Patrol said Joaquin Tomas Sipriano, 38, was driving north on Interstate 39/90/94 in Dane County at "extremely slow speeds" and swerving around 3:15 a.m.
He was pulled over near mile marker 152 and arrested on an OWI offense, the State Patrol said.

BALDWIN, Wis. — The Wisconsin State Patrol says a Minnesota man suspected of driving drunk with three children in the car was going nearly 100 mph before he was arrested.
The 33-year-old man from St. Paul was stopped by the State Patrol about 7:30 a.m. Saturday on Interstate 94 near Baldwin in St. Croix County.
The driver was clocked at 96 mph in a 70 mph zone. He was booked into the county jail, posted bail and was released.
Thirteen injured in three crashes on I-94 near Lake Mills
LAKE?MILLS — A trio of collisions on Interstate 94 near the City of Lake Mills Saturday morning resulted in a total of 13 injuries.
The crashes remain under investigation by the Wisconsin State Patrol and Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
According to the preliminary investigation, at 8:34 a.m. Saturday, a Pontiac Grand Prix traveling west on I-94 near mile marker 254 in the Town of Lake Mills drifted into the median shoulder.

Howard Lovelady, 46, was wanted in connection to a suspected armed robbery on the 1100 block of South Thompson Street in which, according to Madison police, Lovelady and the alleged victim had known each other and Lovelady had stolen drugs at gunpoint.

A Chicago man allegedly robbed an acquaintance at gunpoint in Madison Thursday afternoon, police said.
The victim told police he agreed to meet Howard Lovelady, 46, near the 1100 block of South Thompson Drive where Lovelady allegedly pulled a gun on the victim and took his cash, Sgt. Jamar Gary said.

Semi truck driver dies in Sauk County crash, police say
The driver of a semi truck is dead after a crash on Interstate 90 in Sauk County early Saturday morning, the Wisconsin State Patrol said.
Koshin Mohamed Omar, 42, of Saint Cloud, Minnesota, died at the scene around 1:30 a.m. near Lake Delton when his Freightliner semi truck went off the road and hit a guardrail then several trees in the ditch, the state patrol said.
