Tickets go on sale March 15 for ‘Hamilton’ in San Antonio
“Hamilton” fans can sign up now for their shot at tickets for the show’s San Antonio debut May 7-26 at the Majestic Theatre.
They will go on sale at 10 a.m. March 15.
Tickets to the Broadway smash previously were available only to season-ticket holders.
The tickets will be sold through Ticketmaster Verified Fan. Buyers will need to register at the site — verifiedfan.ticketmaster.com/hamiltonsa — by 11:59 p.m. Monday to be eligible to purchase tickets online. Ticketbuyers will be notified on March 14 if they have been selected to take part in the online ticket sale.
The Verified Fan system is designed reduce the number of tickets in the hands of scalpers. Even so, demand is expected to be overwhelming, so there is no guarantee that everyone who registers and is selected will be able to buy tickets.
A limited number will be available for in-person purchases at the Majestic Theatre box office at 10 a.m. March 15.
Tickets range from $75.50 to $195.50, with a four-ticket maximum. A small number of $425.50 premium seats also will be available. Those prices do not include fees.
Those who don’t manage to snag the tickets right away may not be entirely out of luck. A lottery of 40 seats for $10 each will take place for every performance; lottery details will be announced at a later date.
