A gas station on Madison’s Southeast side was robbed at gunpoint Friday evening, police said.

A man walked into the BP Gas Station at 4624 Monona Drive at about 7 p.m. and threatened to shoot an employee before taking the cash drawer, Sgt. Nathan Becker said.

The man fled on foot with the entire drawer, Becker said.

A K9 track was unsuccessful, Becker said.

The man was described as thin and a medium height, and he was wearing a black ski mask and black sweater.
