Four Shot to Death in Houston
HOUSTON (AP) _ Gunmen burst into a home, tied up six people and shot them in the head, killing four, in an attack police said was probably drug-related.
A survivor told police that three men came Saturday night brandishing weapons and demanding money, police spokesman Joe Gamino said Sunday.
Police found the victims in various rooms of the house in southwest Houston, their hands tied behind their backs with rope. All had been shot in the back of the head, police said.
The shootings probably were drug-related, homicide Sgt. Phil Trumble said. Neighbors said they had complained to police about heavy traffic and suspected drug use at the home, where detectives found several small bags of marijuana.
Slain were Jessica Quinones, 19, who was pregnant; Jose Tovar, 32; Frank Farias, 17; and Audrey Brown, 21, authorities said.
Alexander Camarillo, 22, was listed in poor condition at Ben Taub General Hospital, and Rachel Tovar, 33, was in fair condition.
Ms. Tovar crawled to a neighbor’s house after the shootings and described the gunmen for police.
Police searched for three men driving a minivan with Alabama license plates.
