Lawmakers to host town hall meetings
Community members will have the opportunity to hear from state lawmakers from the 39th Legislative District during two town hall meetings Saturday.
Hosted by Sen. Keith Wagoner, R-Sedro-Woolley; Rep. Carolyn Eslick, R-Sultan; and Rep. Robert J. Sutherland, R-Granite Falls, the meetings will include a 2019 legislative session update and opportunities for public input.
The meetings will take place from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Darrington Library, 1005 Cascade St., and from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at Concrete High School Commons, 7830 S. Superior Ave.
“Being a good leader means being a good listener,” Wagoner said in a state Legislature news release. “I look forward to sharing details of work we’ve been doing in Olympia during the legislative session and hearing from community members on what issues are important to them.”
The 39th district includes eastern Skagit and Snohomish counties, and northeast King County.
