2-month-old boy found dead at Maple Heights home

MAPLE HEIGHTS, Ohio — Police and the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office are investigating the death of baby found unresponsive Saturday at a Maple Heights home.

Two-month-old Cortez Bell was found unresponsive at a Miller Avenue home by a relative, police said. Maple Heights police have not released any details about the incident.

Investigators said they don’t think foul play was a role in the child’s death.

The officers who responded made an unsuccessful attempt to revive the child with CPR after they arrived at the home about 9:30 a.m., according to police.

The medical examiner’s office has not determined how the child died.

The child’s death remains under investigation.
