BILLINGS, Mont. _ Acting U.S. Interior Secretary David Bernhardt is ordering federal land managers to give more consideration to public access concerns when selling or trading public land. ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. _ Five people arrested at a ramshackle New Mexico compound where one of the suspect’s sons was found dead pleaded not guilty Thursday to federal terrorism-related charges and other counts that their attorneys say the group would not be facing if they weren’t Muslims. The two men and three women have been charged of conspiring to support planned attacks on U.S. law enforcement officers, military members and government employees while living on the outskirts of Amalia, just south of the Colorado border. COLORADO SPRINGS-INACCESSIBILITY LAWSUITS _ Colorado Springs has agreed to install more than 15,000 curb ramps over the next 14 years to settle its second lawsuit in six months involving claims the city’s streets and sidewalks are inaccessible to the disabled.

COUNTY EMPLOYEE-THEFT CHARGE _ The Colorado Bureau of Investigation says a 70-year-old former Clear Creek County employee faces multiple felony charges after an investigation into the theft of more than $200,000 from a center that provides various social services. The agency says Candace Morehouse has been arrested on theft, money laundering and forgery charges.
