Woman killed in hit-and-run on north side of Billings
BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) — Police in Billings are investigating after a woman died in a weekend hit-and-run crash on the north side of the city, near Billings Logan International Airport.
The woman’s body was found in the eastbound lane of Montana Highway 3 at about 3 a.m. Saturday.
Officers said she appeared to be a Native American in her 30s or 40s. She was not carrying any identification.
Skid marks could be seen in the road near the woman’s body. Officers were searching for two vehicles seen leaving the area before police arrived, a white 2000s model Yukon or Suburban and a dark-colored mid-1980s pickup truck, possibly towing a trailer.
