NEW YORK (AP) _ Mike Tyson will fight David Izon on May 19 in the Washington, D.C. area.

Shelly Finkel, Tyson's adviser, said Thursday that while Tyson's opponent and the fight date are set, the site is not. He said, however, that it probably will be the MCI Center in Washington or the USAirways Arena at Landover, Md.

Showtime will televise the fight.

Tyson, who will turn 35 on June 30, has not fought since Oct. 20, when Andrew Golota quit after the second round at Auburn Hills, Mich.

Izon, a native of Nigeria who will become 32 on April 29, is the WBA's ninth-ranked heavyweight contender.
