MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. (AP) _ Deland McCullough’s 16-yard scoring run proved to be the game-winner Saturday as Miami of Ohio beat Central Michigan 17-13 in the Mid-American Conference.

McCullough, who had 195 yards on 42 carries, scored with 13:41 left in the game. It was McCullough’s 21st 100-yard game and his seventh this season.

Miami (5-2-1, 3-1-1 MAC) led 7-6 at halftime after Sam Ricketts hit Eric Henderson with a 22-yard scoring pass. Ricketts was 12-of-22 for 125 yards and had one pass intercepted.

Central Michigan (4-4, 2-3) scored in the first half on Brad Blasy’s field goals of 22 and 23 yards.

Chad Seitz kicked a 41-yard field goal to put the Redskins up 10-6. But Silas Massey, who had 130 yards on 35 carries for his third 100-plus yard game this year, gave the Chippewas a 13-10 lead with a 1-yard run.

Chad Darnell was 13-of-25 for 170 yards, with one interception.
