Carpenter Indicted in Two Slayings
DALLAS (AP) _ A carpenter was indicted Friday in the mutilation slayings of two prostitutes and authorities said he could be charged later in the killing of a third.
The carpenter, Charles F. Albright, was charged with killing two women who were shot in the back of the head and had their faces slashed and eyes removed, said a spokeswoman for the Dallas County district attorney’s office.
Albright, 57, was being held Friday on $250,000 bond on a separate attempted murder charge, said a Dallas County sheriff’s officer. Albright was arrested last week in the attempted killing of a prostitute.
The two women Albright is accused of killing, Mary Lou Pratt, 33, and Shirley Willaims, 41, were mutilated with ″surgical skill″ detectives said.
Ms. Pratt died Dec. 13 and Ms. Williams was killed March 19.
Albright is expected to be charged next week in the mutilation slaying of a third prostitute, whose body was found Feb. 10, sheriff’s officers said.
