STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (AP) _ Pete Lisicky and Calvin Booth each scored 18 points as Penn State used a furious second-half outburst to claim a 75-53 win over visiting Brigham Young Friday night.

Penn State (7-2) used four early points from Rahsaan Carlton to post an 8-0 lead over Brigham Young (1-8), but relinquished that lead quickly. The Nittany Lions found themselves down 21-15 with 6:30 to go in the first half.

From there, Greg Stevenson hit a 3-pointer and assisted on a slam by Booth to cut the lead to 21-20. A Rahsaan Carlton jump shot with 30 seconds to go in the half gave Penn State a 26-25 lead to take into the lockerroom.

Penn State opened the second half with an 11-0 burst, keyed by a Lisicky 3-pointer and four from Booth. Brigham Young's Lance Archibald hit a 3-pointer to cut the lead to 37-28, but Lisicky answered with another one to put Penn State up 40-28 at 16:43.

Penn State was never threatened after that. The Nittany Lions led by as many as 25 (65-40 at 7:42 off a Booth slam dunk).
