BUS DRIVER STRIKE
Bus drivers who are on strike and the private company overseeing school bus operations in Providence are meeting with a federal mediator Tuesday. The strike is affecting more than 9,000 Rhode Island students. UPCOMING: 130 words following 12:30 p.m. meeting with mediator, more on merits.
ELECTION 2018-MASSACHUSETTS GOVERNOR
Incumbent Republican Gov. Charlie Baker and his Democratic challenger, Jay Gonzalez, are preparing to square off in their first debate of the fall campaign. The one-hour debate is scheduled for 8 p.m. at the WBZ-TV studios in Boston. Baker and Gonzalez are slated to hold two additional debates prior to the Nov. 6 election. By Steve LeBlanc.
