At least two people were injured Tuesday in separate rollover car crashes along the Parkway East, officials said.
Shortly before 5 p.m., traffic on the Parkway East, or Interstate 376, was reduced to a single eastbound lane near where the interstate meets the Bates Street interchange, PennDOT spokesman Steve Cowan said.
Medics responded to the incident at about 4:15 p.m. and took at least one person to a nearby hospital, an Allegheny County 911 shift commander said.
The crash happened not long after crews had cleared another rollover crash on I-376 near the Forbes Avenue exit, Trib news partner WPXI-TV reported. The earlier accident injured at least one person and involved a truck that landed on its side and at least two other vehicles.
The accident blocked lanes and stalled traffic for several hours.
The conditions of the people injured were not immediately available.
Both accidents are under investigation.
