MIAMI (AP) _ The Miami Dolphins re-signed quarterback Craig Erickson to a two-year contraction, the team announced Thursday.

Erickson, 28, has appeared in nine games, including three starts, in his two years with the Dolphins. Last year he appeared in two games, both in relief for Dan Marino, and completed 13 of 28 passes for 165 yards with no touchdowns and one interception.

Erickson played for the University of Miami and attended high school in West Palm Beach, Fla.

Erickson has started 36 games in six NFL seasons. He spent three seasons with Tampa Bay and one with Indianapolis before coming to Miami.
