LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) _ Tic Price, the associate head coach at McNeese State, was appointed men’s basketball coach there Thursday. Carol Sensley got the women’s job.

Price takes over for Ron Everhart who accepted the head coaching position at Northeastern University in Boston. Price had served as the associate head coach at McNeese State the past season.

As a head coach, he was 63-27 in three seasons at New Orleans and 30-27 at Memphis.

Price, who played at Virginia Tech in the late 1970s, has been in coaching for 21 years, having held assistant jobs at Roanoke, Tennessee-Chattanooga, Virginia Tech, Old Dominion and Auburn.

Sensley, a Lake Charles native, takes over for Bridget Martin, who resigned to become the university’s senior women’s coordinator and compliance director.

Prior to her two-year stint as an assistant at Mississippi, she was Martin’s assistant at McNeese for five years.

She played three seasons for a Louisville squad that went to the NCAA tournament and Women’s NIT one time each.
