BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) _ Nathan Dunn hit two home runs and drove in six runs Saturday as Louisiana State beat New Orleans 17-4 Saturday in the NCAA South II Regional Tournament.

The victory puts top-seeded LSU (47-15) in Sunday's regional championship game. It is the eighth time since 1987 that LSU has reached the regional final.

The Tigers, who set a Southeastern Conference record with 116 home runs this season, hit only one in two previous regional games. Dunn's homers were his 19th and 20th this season, and Jeramie Moore, Chad Cooley and Mike Koerner also connected.

LSU scored the first 17 runs, including four in both the third and seventh innings, and five in the fifth.

The Tigers got 18 hits off five New Orleans pitchers. Moore, the No. 7 hitter, was 3-for-5, and Warren Morris, the No. 9 batter, was 4-for-4.

Junior right-hander Kevin Shipp (5-4) held the Privateers scoreless through six innings. Matt Kottmeyer (3-2) got the loss.

Joe DiSalvo homered for New Orleans (43-20), which was to play later Saturday in an elimination game.
