Colts Lose Rookie Clark to Broken Leg
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) _ Colts tight end Dallas Clark fractured his right leg in the second quarter against the Patriots on Sunday and was taken off the field on a stretcher.
The first-round draft pick was wearing an air cast as he left the field, and the team announced X-rays showed the fracture fibula.
Clark was hurt on an 8-yard completion when he tried to spin away from New England cornerback Ty Law. The hit flipped Clark into the air, and he landed with most of his weight on his right leg.
It was Clark’s second catch of the game. He entered Sunday with 27 catches for 322 yards and one touchdown this season.
