September 20, 2018

The second week of the fall recruiting period will see college basketball coaches making the rounds in the metro area and Lincoln.

Tuesday was a busy day on the trail for Nebraska coach Tim Miles. Miles made plans to visit the four in-state prospects the Huskers have either received a commitment from or made offers to. That included a morning stop at Lincoln North Star to see 2020 Lincoln North Star guard Donovan Williams, who committed to Nebraska on Aug. 21.

Miles also plans to visit Omaha Creighton Prep to see 2019 forward Akol Arop, who has plans for an official visit to Nebraska the weekend of Sept. 28. Arop will also visit Drake this weekend and UNO on Oct. 5. All three schools have offered the 6-foot-5 forward. UNO coach Derrin Hansen and assistant Tyler Erwin also plan to visit Arop on Tuesday.

Miles was at Millard North for an afternoon workout featuring 2021 guard Hunter Sallis, 2020 forward Max Murrell and 2022 forward Jasen Green.

Sallis received an offer from the Huskers on Sept. 8 during an unofficial visit. Murrell, a 6-8 forward with an offer from UMKC and Sallis unofficially visited Iowa on Saturday. Green also projects as a Division I prospect.

A visit to Omaha North to see 2020 guard Wal Chuol is planned for Miles on Tuesday. UNO assistant Pat Eberhart also plans a visit to North to see Chuol on Thursday.

Miles will finish off his day with a visit to see 2021 Bellevue West guard Chucky Hepburn, who Nebraska offered on May 29. Hepburn plans an unofficial visit to Creighton on Wednesday.

» South Dakota State assistant Eric Henderson and UNO’s Eberhart plan to visit Omaha Westside to see a trio of Warriors. Jadin Booth, a 2020 guard, received an offer from UNO on June 26. Northern Iowa and UMKC are among the other schools recruiting the 6-2 Booth but have not yet offered. Joining Booth were 2019 forward Chase Thompson, who has drawn interest from UNO, and 2020 guard PJ Ngambi.

Eberhart visited Omaha Burke on Monday night to see 2021 guard Jaren Marshall and 2021 wing Greg Brown.

» On Wednesday, Eberhart and North Dakota State assistant Jayden Olsen are expected to visit Omaha Central to see 2019 wing John Tonje and 2020 guards Latrell Wrightsell and Max Polk. On Wednesday, Olsen will see Chuol at Omaha North. On Thursday, he will visit Millard North and Westside. Olsen is visiting Omaha Westside on Thursday to see Booth, Thompson and Ngambi.

» UNK assistant coach John Ritzdorf will see 2020 Omaha Skutt guard Tyson Gordon on Sunday and 2020 Elkhorn South forward Zach LaFave next Tuesday. Ritzdorf will see 2019 Lincoln Pius X guard Charlie Easley next week.

» A Sioux Falls assistant is at Creighton Prep to see senior Thomas Faber.
