Bradley Beal named Eastern Conference Player of the Week
Late in the season, even if your team on the outside of the playoff picture, scoring 40 points on back-to-back nights will get you discussed for All-NBA honors and earn you a player of the week award.
Washington Wizards guard Bradley Beal was named Eastern Conference Player of the Week for averaging 32.5 points, 7.0 assists and 6.3 rebounds per game from March 11 to March 17.
Beal shot .523 from the field and .525 from the 3-point arc last week. On Friday and Saturday, he became the first player in Wizards history to tally at least 40 points, five rebounds and five assists on consecutive nights.
He also set a personal record by making nine 3-pointers in Saturday’s win over the Memphis Grizzlies. Washington went 3-1 for the week.
