They are Navy Lt. Cmdr. Harry S. Edwards Jr., of Decatur, Ga.; Air Force Lt. Col. Anthony C. Shine, of Pleasantville, N.Y.; and a third Air Force officer whose name the Pentagon did not release at the request of the family.
Edwards was the pilot of an A-4C that went down on a combat mission over North Vietnam on Oct. 20, 1966.
Shine was the pilot of an A-7D that went down on a reconnaissance and escort mission near the border of Laos and North Vietnam on Dec. 2, 1972.
