Police arrest two in search at apartment
HUNTINGTON — The following information was provided by criminal complaints filed in Cabell County Magistrate Court:
POSSESSION WITH INTENT: Huntington police arrested two people after serving a drug-related search warrant at an apartment on West 7th Avenue on Thursday.
Verna Lee Vaughn, 39, of Huntington, is facing a felony charge of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and misdemeanor prohibited acts. Jerry Kent Brown, 51, of Huntington, is facing a felony charge of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.
Police executed a search warrant at an apartment in the 100 block of West 7th Avenue on Thursday, according to criminal complaints filed in Cabell County Magistrate Court.
Upon entry, police said they observed 11 individually wrapped tan chunks in plain view on a coffee table. The chunks appeared to be crack cocaine, according to the complaints. Police allegedly also found digital scales and a small amount of cash.
Vaughn and Brown were jailed in Western Regional Jail at 8:05 p.m. Thursday. Vaughn was being held in lieu of a $105,000 cash-only bond. Brown was being held in lieu of a $100,000 cash-only bond.

Jack Edward Rolfe Jr., 26, was jailed at 7:50 a.m. Friday. Authorities in Cabell County jailed him on an active warrant. Bond was not set.
Eva Jean Foster, 57, was jailed at 8 p.m. Thursday. Authorities in Cabell County charged her with being a fugitive from justice. Bond was not set.
Stepanie Dawn Stover, 34, was jailed at 3:10 p.m. Friday. Authorities in Cabell County charged her with possession with intent to deliver. Bond was $50,000.
Donald Wayne Nichols, 49, was jailed at 5:50 p.m. Friday. Authorities in Mason County jailed him on a capias warrant. Bond was not set.
