Maxwell extends contract with Paris Saint-Germain until 2016
PARIS (AP) — Brazil defender Maxwell has extended his contract with Paris Saint-Germain until June 2016.
The 33-year-old Maxwell has played 128 matches with the French champions, scoring eight goals in three seasons. Since his arrival, PSG has won five trophies as Maxwell made his first international appearance before making Brazil’s squad for the World Cup.
Maxwell has also had stints at Ajax, Inter Milan and Barcelona.
Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al Khelaifi says “Maxwell is an exceptional player who has brought so much to this club since he joined us.”
