Rotary recognizes Barboursville’s Finest

April 4, 2019

BARBOURSVILLE — Three individuals were recently recognized by the Rotary Club of Barboursville as “Barboursville’s Finest” for 2019.

Those awarded include: Dwayne Walters, senior member of the Barboursville Park Board, Tim Corbett and Michael Brumfield, both K9 Officers with the Barboursville Police Dept.,

The purpose of the Barboursville Rotary Club in identifying and honoring Barboursville Finest is to provide public recognition of those dedicated public servants and community members who work to improve and safeguard all of us in the area. The Rotary Club decided to commit to a

long-term project of annually recognizing the contributions of such individuals by displaying thanks from the Rotary Club.

The Club works with the office of the Mayor of the Village of Barboursville in determining who will be recognized.

The names of the recipients are engraved on a plaque, which is then displayed in the businesses of various Barboursville Rotarians on a rotating basis.

The plaque allows for multiple recipients to be recognized, and once the plaque is filled, it will be retired to the offices of the Village of Barboursville for permanent display.
