CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) _ Ramona O’Neal scored eight of her 24 points during a 13-6 run by Clemson in the final minutes as the Tigers defeated No. 10 Georgia 78-65 in a second- round game in the NCAA Mideast Regional Saturday.

Clemson, 20-10, led 62-57 with 4:31 left before scoring 13 of the next 19 points for a 75-63 lead with 46 seconds remaining.

It was the first NCAA tournament victory in three games for the Tigers. They received a first-round bye this season.

Louise Greenwood added 19 for Clemson, which avenged a 96-75 loss to Georgia during the regular season. Karen Ann Jenkins added 11 and Becky Hollaway had 10.

Clemson advances to the regional semifinals at Auburn, Ala., on March 23.

Tammye Jenkins led Georgia, 23-7, with 16 points and 11 rebounds.
