NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) _ Blues Traveler has postponed a concert here because of transportation and emotional concerns after last week's terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon.

``We had every intention of going ahead with the date but logistical, transportation and emotional concerns related to last week's tragedy simply won't allow it,'' the band and the venue, The Plex, said in a joint statement.

The New York-based musicians said they were worried about equipment arriving on time and were concerned about flying. The concert was scheduled for Thursday.

``It's simply inappropriate to play this soon,'' the statement said.

Plex General Manager Bob Shipley said nearly 800 advance tickets had sold for the show.
