BANK OF THE WEST-FOSSIL FUELS

UNDATED — Bank of the West’s decision to divest from certain fossil fuel investments has run headlong into threats of retaliation in states, including Wyoming, that get much of their revenue from coal, oil and natural gas extraction. The bank, based in San Francisco, is owned by French bank BNP Paribas group. SENT: 130 words. UPCOMING: 400 words by 5 p.m.

— GRAND TETON-HIDDEN FALLS — The popular Hidden Falls attraction in Grand Teton National Park has been reopened to tourists. The falls viewing area and Lower Inspiration Point on the west shore of Jenny Lake had been closed since July 10 out of concern that a rock buttress could come loose and fall onto the area.

— CASPER RABIES — Three bats in Natrona County have tested positive for rabies since June 7. The Casper-Natrona County Health Department says that is a significant increase from past years.
