PEORIA, Ill. (AP) — The Peoria Riverfront Museum is celebrating its first anniversary by offering free admission on Oct. 20.

The (Peoria) Journal Star reports that (http://bit.ly/19FDLqe ) that visitors can get in to see the galleries and planetarium that day at no charge.

Debbie Ritschel is the museum's interim CEO. She says the day is a way to thank people for helping making the museum a reality.

Its collections include fine art, folk art and natural sciences.
