First Miller Quint Heads Home
DENVER (AP) _ A month-old baby, one of a set of quintuplets born here, has become the first of the five to be taken home by his parents, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Tyler Scott Miller was discharged from St. Joseph Hospital on Wednesday and went with his parents, Kathy and Greg Miller, to their home in Watkins, a small farming community east of Denver.
Tyler won early release by progressing faster than his brothers and sister in the crucial skills of swallowing and sucking, said hospital spokeswoman Anne-Marie Zucharelli.
The four other Miller babies - Joseph, Michael, Mallory and Timothy - remained at the hospital where they were born April 22. Their condition was listed as satisfactory.
Just when the rest of the quints will be ready to go home is not certain, said Dee Fraser, nursing supervisor.
