Donna Peeler, 85, Columbus
Donna M. Peeler, 85, Columbus, passed away Monday, Sept. 17, 2018, at the Larson House in Columbus.
Donna was born the daughter of Earl and Gladys (Moore) Larson on April 6, 1933, in Madison. She was married to LaVerne Peeler on Jan. 19, 1952, in Keyeser, Wisconsin. Donna was employed with Columbus Community Hospital as a housekeeping supervisor for many years before her retirement.
Donna enjoyed bowling and needlework with plastic canvas and enjoyed going on gambling trips whenever she had a chance. Donna cared for her large garden where she would can and freeze much of her produce for the upcoming winter. She loved all of her family and extended family. Donna loved her children and all of their friends, as well as her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Donna is survived by her six children, Frederick (fiancée, Susan McFarland) Peeler of Columbus, Jeffery (Sue) Peeler of Columbus, Deborah (Tom) Salzwedel of Columbus, Kennet (Sue) Peeler of Beaver Dam, Patricia (Butch) Casey of Fox Lake, and Alan (fiancée, Sue Purves) Peeler of Columbus; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren with the 15th due in November; her sisters, Janice Lange and Janet (Jim) Woider both of Madison; sister-in-law, Linda (Tom) Sargent; brothers-in-law, Roger and Joe Kornbau; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, LaVerne in 2004; five brothers; two sisters; and her grandson, Tyler Peeler.
A memorial gathering will be held at Koepsell-Zeidler Funeral Home, 146 S. Dickason Blvd., Columbus, on Monday, Sept. 24, from 4 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Inurnment will take place at Hillside Cemetery in Columbus at a later date.
If desired, memorials may be directed to the Larson House in Columbus or to Hillside Hospice.
