Humble ISD state golf roundup: K-Park’s Parel places 4th, Kingwood finishes 10th

Kingwood Park’s Eisel Parel finished in fourth place at the Class 5A state tournament Thursday at the White Wing Golf Club on May 14 in Georgetown to close out her high school golf career.

The senior golfer finished with a two-day total of 145.

Parel shot a 74 on Day 1 of the state tournament and then followed with a 71 on Day 2.

The Houston Baptist University signee had quite a senior season, finishing in first place at the District 22-6A meet and followed with winning regionals.

Kingwood places fifth at state tournament

The Kingwood girls golf team finished in 10th place at the Class 6A state tournament at the Legacy Hills Golf Club on May 14 in Georgetown.

The Lady Mustangs shot a two-day total of 633.

Kingwood finished Day 1 by posting a total score of 325 and finished Day 2 shooting a 308.

Kingwood was led by Kaitlyn Charles who shot a two-day total of 156 after shooting a 78 on Day 1 and Day 2 of the state tournament.

Libby Singleton posted an 81 on Day 1 and followed shooting a 78 for a two-day total of 159.

Megan Tragesser (84-75-159) followed Singleton, followed by Kaetlin Halseth (83-77-160) and Rylie Cerny (83-81-164).
