ACOUSTICAL CONFLICT

CINCINNATI _ A study has found that game day noise from the coming stadium for Cincinnati’s soccer team could disrupt performances and rehearsals at a nearby hall where several arts groups perform. Noise from FC Cincinnati games would be “readily audible” by members of the audience and performers in Music Hall’s Springer Auditorium, according to the recently released report by the consulting firm Akustiks. EXCHANGE-STUDENTS’ BARN BILL

COLUMBUS _ Spanning more than four years, it’s likely Westerville Central High School’s longest class project ever. Four teens first proposed a bill to Ohio lawmakers in 2014 that will finally become law in March. The bill designates the barn as Ohio’s official historical architectural structure, recognizing the buildings that have housed everything from schoolchildren to farm equipment, crops and animals since the pioneer days. _ FATAL SHOOTING-OHIO: Police say a shooting in Cleveland has left one man dead and another seriously injured.

_ OHIO BUDGET-MISSED ESTIMATES: Ohio income-tax collections have missed their mark on estimates for two consecutive months.

_ FOREST FIRES-PROTECTION AREA: Ohio’s Department of Natural Resources says its forestry division has expanded its Forest Fire Protection Area to now include all parts of 43 counties in the state.
