SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) _ Potlatch Corp. (PCH) on Monday reported second-quarter net income of $46.1 million.
The Spokane, Washington-based company said it had net income of 73 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for costs related to mergers and acquisitions, came to 75 cents per share.
The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 61 cents per share.
The timberland owner and wood products company posted revenue of $268.2 million in the period.
Potlatch shares have fallen 8.5 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Monday, shares hit $45.65, a drop of 4 percent in the last 12 months.
