Holy Cross 63, Dartmouth 62

HANOVER, N.H. (AP) _ Malik Waters hit a 3-pointer with eight seconds remaining Wednesday night to give Holy Cross a 63-62 victory over Dartmouth.

With 18 seconds left and Dartmouth (2-4) leading 61-60, the Big Green’s Brian Laibow was fouled and went to the line for a 1-and-1. He made the first but missed the second and the rebound went to Holy Cross (2-5).

Waters, who led the Crusaders with 15 points, hit the 3-pointer from the right corner to cap a the second-half comeback.

Shaun Gee finished with 20 points for Dartmouth, while Ian McGinnis had a career-high 16.

Dartmouth led 31-14 with 5:18 to go in the first half. Holy Cross took its first lead at 36-35 with 14:31 to play on a jumper by Colin Boddicker.

Dartmouth took a 57-52 lead with 3:22 to play on P.J. Halas’ hit a driving layup.
