SE Missouri 81, Tennessee Tech 78
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (AP) _ Southeast Missouri rallied from a 10-point deficit with three minutes to play Monday and beat Tennessee Tech 81-78 in overtime.
The Indians (7-9, 4-3 in the Ohio Valley Conference) trailed 45-33 with 17:22 to play. Southeast Missouri cut the margin to one with 8:14 to go, then fell behind by 10, 67-57, with three minutes remaining.
But Southeast Missouri went on a 12-4 run to cut the margin two. With three seconds left, Jerome Days’ 12-foot baseline jumper tied it at 71-71 and sent the game into overtime.
Allen Hatchett scored six of the Indians’ 10 points in overtime to clinch the win.
Six players scored in double-figures for Southeast Missouri, led by Bud Eley with 23. Days had 13 points and 13 rebounds, Reggie Crisp had 13 points, Leonard Hassell 11, Hatchett 11 and Chris Chambers 10.
Carlos Floyd scored 21 points to lead the Golden Eagles (7-7, 1-4). Greg Bibb had 19, Arthur Quarterman 12 and Chris Turner 10.
