Wahlburgers closes in downtown Raleigh
After seven months in business, Wahlburgers has closed its doors in downtown Raleigh.
The franchise, started by actor-rappers Mark and Donnie Wahlberg with their chef brother, opened in May.
“As a company, we are continuing to grow and look for partners and restaurant locations that will provide us with the best opportunity for success. While it’s unfortunate that our Wahlburgers Raleigh location has closed, we are looking forward to all that 2019 has in store for Wahlburgers here in the US and abroad,” company representatives said in a prepared statement.
Wahlburgers was located in The Hudson building, a high-rise at 319 Fayetteville St., in the old home of the Oxford gastropub.
Wahlburgers features both a fast/casual counter and full-service dining room with a bar in addition to a small retail section with branded Wahlburgers T-shirts, hats, and more. There were televisions showing episodes of the family’s A&E show.
