PATERSON, N.J. (AP) — A New Jersey man charged with killing three people in a multi-vehicle crash will be held without bail.
Jason Vanderee of Glenwood in Sussex County made an initial court appearance Monday, where his lawyer entered a not guilty plea on his behalf. He’s charged with aggravated manslaughter and death by auto while intoxicated.
The Feb. 19 crash at a Delta gas station on Route 23 in Wayne killed 50-year-old Jon Warbeck of Fair Lawn and his 17-year-old son, along with gas station attendant Lovedeep Fatra of Pequannock.
Prosecutors say police found nine bags of heroin and a needle in the 29-year-old’s possession.
