TAMPA, Fla. (AP) _ Two boys and two girls, born prematurely to a 15-year-old mother, were in critical condition Tuesday.

Bobby Jo Broviak gave birth to the quadruplets Monday at Tampa General Hospital. Doctors said she was not taking fertility drugs, which are the most frequent cause of multiple births.

Mark Broviak, the 21-year-old unemployed father, wore a button that read ''I'm a new daddy,'' on which he added with a black marker, ''Boy, Girl, Boy, Girl.''

The babies, weighing 9 pounds, 5 ounces collectively, were born 11 weeks prematurely, about average for quadruplets. They weighed between 1 pound, 7 ounces and 2 pounds, 14 ounces. An average full-term healthy newborn weighs around 7 1/2 pounds.

Mrs. Broviak, who weighed 95 pounds before she became pregnant, has been in the hospital since Sept. 6 with high blood pressure, a result of the pregnancy.
