Metro St. 122, Sacramento St. 92
DENVER (AP) _ Adrian Hutt set an NCAA Division II record with 25 assists Saturday night as Metro State defeated Sacramento State 122-92.
The 122-point total also was a school record for Metro State, breaking the old record of 120 set in 1989.
Hutt also had 12 points, six rebounds and five steals in 33 minutes of play. The old record for assists in the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division II was 24, set in 1989 by Steve Ray of Bridgeport College of Connecticut. Ray later tied that record the same season.
Fred Brown had 30 points to lead seven Metro State players in double figures as the team raised its record to 18-5. The Roadrunners are ranked 17th in NCAA Division II.
Willie Jordan scored 25 to lead Sacramento State.
